Lee Sears is Executive Vice President, Head of International Advertising Sales And Integrated Marketing at Paramount.

In this role, Sears leads Paramount’s International Advertising organization with oversight of sales, monetization and commercial strategy for Paramount’s direct-to-consumer streaming business, including Paramount+ and Pluto TV. Sears also oversees ad sales for Paramount’s linear Pay TV portfolio outside the US and the UK, including linear sales, sponsorship, brand solutions, social and digital, and live events.

In his previous role as Executive Vice President and Head of Digital, Ad Sales & Events, Sears lead Velocity International, the company’s award-winning full-service brand solutions division, which seamlessly integrated clients into cultural conversations with custom content across all platforms and experiences. During this time, he oversaw the merger of what was formerly known as ViacomCBS Digital Studios, while leading on all commercial strategy across social. Sears has led the procurement of several high-profile digital-first commercial initiatives including relationships with Snapchat, Twitter and YouTube, and also maintained relationships with long-term partners, driving the company’s linear programmatic offerings, while supporting its transition to becoming more digitally led by engaging audiences across streaming, social and all digital platforms.

Throughout his time at Paramount, Sears has spearheaded commercial partnerships for the company’s international tent-pole events, including the MTV European Music Awards, The Isle of MTV and Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. He has also partnered with some of the industry’s biggest entertainment powerhouses including Sony Pictures, Lego, Paramount Pictures and Amazon Music to deliver integrated solutions across all platforms, driving advocacy and awareness among all demographics.

In 2020, Sears took on an expanded peer leadership role that is focused on commercializing key growth areas of the business. This role positioned him to focus on commercial oversight of the company’s events business, the development of relationships to support sales efforts for their international studies, and expanding social and digital sales across the company. Sears has also forged new revenue lines, which has promoted greater synergies across Paramount’s global business. With his leadership, Sears’ team was a recipient of the coveted M&M Global International Media Brand of the Year in 2016.

Prior to his appointment within Velocity International, Sears worked for five years in Paramount’s international division in various executive roles, including Head of Trading and Director of Sales and Partnerships at MTV International.
